THE country's Free Wi-Fi program will be overhauled for "reevaluation and restructuring in line with the government's broader rationalization initiatives," the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) announced on Monday.
The decision comes on the heels of the resignation of DICT Secretary Ivan Uy, and as the agency's Infostructure Management, Cybersecurity and Upskilling Undersecretary Jeffrey Dy is tasked to initiate changes following President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s directive to review the sustainability of its programs.
