INDIGENOUS groups are happy about the government's scrapping of a private company's contract to manage a protected area in Rizal province.
The Facebook page of the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) Calabarzon quoted a statement from the Dinagat/Remontado IPs of Tanay, Rizal expressing joy over the Department of Environment and Natural Resources' cancellation of its 2002 Supplemental Agreement with Blue Star Construction Development Corp. which operates the Masungi Georeserve in Baras, Rizal.
