AROUND P1.3 billion has been collected from coin deposit machines since these were introduced by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) in 2023 to enhance the circulation of money.
Data from the central bank showed that transactions had almost reached 300,000 as of February 15, with over 328 million coins deposited and exchanged for e-wallet credits or shopping vouchers.
