(UPDATE) MALACAÑANG said on Tuesday that the decision of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to declare the 39th anniversary of EDSA People Power on Tuesday, Feb. 25, a special working holiday was not an effort to erase the popular uprising from history.
The People Power Revolution, also known as the EDSA Revolution, which took place from Feb. 22-25, 1986, led to the ouster of the president's father, Ferdinand Marcos Sr.
