MANILA, Philippines — The Catholic Church on Tuesday, urged the public not "to forget the horrors and monumental thievery" of Martial Law.

In a statement posted by the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) on its website, the Conference of Major Superiors in the Philippines (CMSP) said, "Today we mark the 39th commemoration of the EDSA People Power uprising that toppled the Marcos dictatorship."
