NGCP wins arbitration case vs Psalm, Transco

PRIVATELY-LED National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) has won an arbitration case against state-owned Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management Corp. (Psalm) and National Transmission Co. (Transco), which had charged the operator of the country's power grid with violating constitutional restrictions on ownership and the terms of its concession agreement.

Listed firm Synergy Grid & Development Phils. Inc. (SGP), which effectively controls 60 percent of NGCP, told the stock exchange on Monday that the Singapore International Arbitration Center last Feb. 19 issued a final ruling in a case filed by Psalm and Transco in 2018.
