NEW materials and sustainable lifestyle choices drive the construction of residences these days. To explore these trends at length, The Manila Times sat down with Boggle Ramos, a seasoned architect with 30 years of experience and an annual portfolio of 20 projects. With their homeowners' permission, we also studied a couple of real-life current construction projects as case studies.
Project #1 is the building of a U-shape structure with a central garden in the south; it started in September 2023 and is projected to end by March 2025. Part of the design involves bringing the outdoors closer to the indoors. The house features a large, roofed lanai area facing the garden, blending the calming atmosphere of a retreat with the learning vibes of an exclusive preschool.
