THE Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), represented by Assistant Secretary Amuerfina Reyes, Human Resource Development Service (HRDS) Director Brenalyn Peji and Senior Labor and Employment Officer Wilmer Karlo Pasague, met with Malaysian Human Resources Ministry-Human Resource Development Corp., led by Chief Strategy Officer Rony Ambrose Gobilee, together with Deputy Chief of Mission Norjufri Nizar Edrus from the Malaysian Embassy in the Philippines and International Business Unit Executive Muhammad Haziq Adil bin Abd Wahid, at the DOLE Central Office in Manila on Feb. 12 2025.
The meeting focused on potential collaboration opportunities between the two countries, including the upcoming Malaysia National Human Capital Conference and Exhibition (NHCCE) scheduled in October, and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) Year of Skills (AYOS) 2025, which will be hosted by Malaysia; and Malaysia's levy system for training, which funds workforce development through employer contributions.
