THE British Chamber of Commerce Philippines (BCCP) has reiterated its urgent support for the Cybersecurity Act in the 20th Congress, citing growing global cyber threats affecting individuals and businesses.
BCCP Executive Chairman Chris Nelson backs DICT Undersecretary Jeffrey Dy's October 2024 statement that the bill is in the Legislative-Executive Development Advisory Committee (Ledac) Agenda. Nelson also commends President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. for approving the National Cybersecurity Plan (NCSP) 2023-2028, which enhances cybersecurity awareness, upskilling, and threat detection tools.
