Saleslady rescued in Lipa hostage drama

CAMP BGEN VICENTE P. LIM, Calamba City — Personnel of the Lipa City Police Station rescued a saleslady and apprehended the suspect after a three-hour hostage-taking at SM City Lipa on Feb. 18, 2025.

The authorities identified the hostage-taker as alias 'Alvin,' 28, who held the saleslady, identified as 'Jem,' 25, hostage inside the Asianic Gadget Store while wielding a bladed weapon.
