LGUs receive emergency rice supply

(UPDATE) THE Department of Agriculture (DA), through the National Food Authority (NFA), released rice stocks to local government units (LGUs) on Wednesday in line with the government's declaration of a food security emergency on rice.

Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr. led the turnover rite at an NFA warehouse in Valenzuela City with San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora, president of the Metro Manila Council.
