Debt service burden up 14% as of end-Nov

THE country's debt service burden rose by 13.9 percent to $15.74 billion as of the end of November from $13.81 billion a year earlier, preliminary Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) data showed.

Principal payments increased by 12.9 percent to $8.39 billion from $7.43 billion, while interest payments were 15.2 percent higher at $7.35 billion from $6.38 billion.
