The Office of the President, represented by (front row, fourth from left) Special Assistant to the President Antonio Ernesto Lagdameo Jr., joins the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) led by Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) led by Secretary Rex Gatchalian (front row, third and fifth from left, respectively) and other government offices, and the private sector (represented by Palscon President Armando Gutierrez Jr., in organizing a massive job fair offering 6,400 jobs from 94 confirmed employers in the National Capital Region during the ‘Trabaho sa Bagong Pilipinas’ event at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex in Manila on Jan. 31, 2025. The job fair aims to provide job opportunities for the graduating members of the DSWD’s Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps). Help desks for the livelihood programs of the DOLE and DSWD, Tesda skills demonstration and training, DOLE legal services, and DA-led Kadiwa stores are also present at the venue. Aside from the job fair, the DOLE also conducted an orientation of its Tupad Program for the fire victims from Isla Puting Bato in Tondo. Also joining the event are DOLE Undersecretaries Carmela Torres, Atty. Benjo Santos Benavidez, Atty. Felipe Egargo Jr., Warren Miclat; Bureau of Local Employment director Patrick Patriwirawan Jr.; DOLE-NCR regional director Sarah Buena Mirasol; and other personnel of the department.
