MANILA, Philippines — Choco Mucho survived a five-set scare and escaped with a 25-21, 23-25, 21-25, 25-23, 15-10 win over Nxled to extend its winning streak to five games in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) 2024-25 All-Filipino Conference at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City on Thursday.
The Flying Titans improved its win-loss record to 7-3, good for third place. They have not lost a game yet in 2025.
Sisi Rondina registered a triple-double performance of 23 points, 19 excellent digs and 18 excellent receptions.
Isa Molde added 12 points while Dindin Manabat and Maika Ortiz chipped in nine points each.
Nxled held a 2-1 set advantage before the Flying Titans came alive in the last two frames as Rondina fired from all angles.
In the fifth frame, Choco Mucho's Royse Tubino took charge and scored four out of her seven points in the deciding set to save the day.
'The confidence of Nxled is there, and whatever adjustment that we make they can adapt. We had our lapses, and it's good that we adjusted. We are so thankful that we got this win,' head coach Dante Alinsunurin told the press.
After its breakthrough win against Galeries Tower, Nxled went back to its losing ways dropped to 1-9.
The Chameleons were led by EJ Laure's double-double performance of 20 points and 21 excellent digs.
May Luna and Lucille Amonte added 17 and 11 points, respectively for the Titans.
