MANILA, Philippines — In shades of Gilas Pilipinas' upset semifinal victory over China at the 19th Asian Games, the men's curling team also did the same to the Chinese team at the 9th Asian Winter Games in Harbin, China.
On Thursday night, the Filipino quintet of skip Marc Pfister, Enrico Pfister, Alan Frei, Christian Haller, and Benjo Delarmente prevailed over the host team, 7-6 to give the Philippines its historic first medal in the Asian Winter Games.
