MANILA, Philippines — The state-run weather agency said on Thursday that it has been monitoring a low pressure area (LPA) outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) although it has a slim chance of directly affecting the country.
In a 5 a.m. briefing, weather specialist Chenel Dominguez said the weather disturbance was last spotted some 430 kilometers (kms) northwest of Pagasa Island in Kalayaan, Palawan (outside PAR).
