THE province of Palawan, which has been pummeled with heavy rains earlier this month due to the shear line, is now at the center of a trough of a low pressure area (LPA) outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
Weather specialist Robert Badrina of the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the LPA was spotted some 260 kilometers (kms) west-northwest of Pagasa Island, Kalayaan, also in the same province.
