PLDT Inc. said Tuesday that its Asia Direct Cable (ADC) system would be launched within the quarter, boosting the telco's international capacity and expanding the Philippines' connectivity.

The company said the ADC, a 9,988-kilometer fiber-optic submarine cable system that will link the Philippines to Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand and China, would be ready for service and increase connectivity by more than 100 terabits per second.
