The administration's Senate slate, under the banner of Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas, hits the ground running as it launches its campaign in Ilocos Norte on Feb. 11, 2025 rallying support in the stronghold of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and his family. Marcos himself led the campaign kickoff at the province's centennial arena to endorse a powerhouse lineup. The president's sister, Sen. Imee Marcos, who had declined his endorsement, was present during the rally. Marcos Jr.took a swipe at his predecessor Rodrigo Duterte and his candidates, asking voters in Filipino to check the record of the administration's candidates, claiming that none of them is tainted with the blood from the previous administration's drug war, can be linked to pocketing funds during the pandemic and letting fellow Filipinos die. Senior Deputy Majority Leader and Ilocos Norte Rep. Sandro Marcos arrived to show his support for his father's candidates. VIDEO BY CATHERINE VALENTE
