BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya — A barangay councilor was killed while his aide was seriously injured after a vintage bomb exploded when they tried to cut it open with a saw in Almaguer South, Bambang, Nueva Vizcaya on Saturday, a belated police report said on Monday.
Maj. Nova Lyn Aggasid, Nueva Vizcaya police spokesman, said that the 42-year-old village councilor in Aritao town, whose name was withheld by the police, died instantly from the explosion.
