The New Zealand Embassy in the Philippines commemorated Waitangi Day on Feb. 6 at the Ambassador's Official Residence in Makati City. The event celebrated Aotearoa's heritage and highlighted the strengthening ties between the two countries.

Waitangi Day marks the signing of Te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi), New Zealand's founding document, on Feb. 6, 1840.
