WASHINGTON — A magnitude-7.6 quake rattled the Caribbean Sea on Saturday evening (Sunday in Manila)about 130 miles (209 kilometers) off the coast of the Cayman Islands, setting off tsunami warnings, US monitoring agencies said.

"Hazardous tsunami waves" set off by the quake were possible within 620 miles of the epicenter along the coasts of the Cayman Islands, Jamaica, Cuba, Mexico, Honduras, Bahamas, Belize, Haiti, Costa Rica, Panama, Nicaragua and Guatemala, the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said.
