102 snakes wrangled from Sydney backyard

SYDNEY, Australia — A team of Australian reptile catchers says it has topped the beloved children's tale 'The Hundred and One Dalmatians 'after stumbling across a nest of 102 venomous snakes in a suburban backyard.

Cory Kerewaro and his team were called to catch a pair of red-bellied black snakes spotted in a pile of gardening mulch in the eastern city of Sydney.

CREEPY DISCOVERY This screengrab from a handout video taken by Cory Kerewaro on Jan. 31, 2025 and released on Feb. 7, 2025 shows dozens of deadly red-bellied black snakes after they were uncovered in the backyard of a home in the city of Sydney, eastern Australia.
