ISABELA State University (ISU) and Kyoto University (KyotoU) facilitated a Stakeholders' Consultative Meeting for sustainable water resources and dam management on Jan. 23 at the former's Cagayan Valley Agricultural and Aquatic Resources Research and Development building.

The collaboration is also aligned with ISU's mission to generate actionable policies, optimize dam operations and increase water security under extreme climatic conditions. It aimed to "implement innovative technologies and develop Integrated Water Resource Management, or IWRM practices," with the Magat River Basin in the Cagayan Valley as one of the focus areas.
