MANILA, Philippines — Creamline flaunted its sturdy form and took down Chery Tiggo in dominant fashion, 25-17, 25-17, 25-21, in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) 2024-25 All-Filipino Conference at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2025.The Cool Smashers remained on top of the standings with an 8-0 win-loss card while Chery Tiggo fell to 5-5. 'Of course, it is a big thing to have this win. We are happy to win via sweep. In our previous games, we usually relax in the third set. I am grateful to witness the team work together, especially in the third set. So we won via sweep,' Creamline head coach Sherwin Meneses told the press after the game.Chery Tiggo gave it a fight in the third set and tied the score at 20-all with Ara Galang and Ces Robles leading the offense.But the Cool Smashers pulled a quick 5-1 rally to seal the win.Creamline made light work of Chery Tiggo in the first two frames after limiting the Crossovers to just 17 points.The Cool Smashers outscored Chery Tiggo in the service department, 6-1, and the spiking division, 47-33. Bea De Leon was the only double-digit scorer of Creamline with 13 points on eight attacks, two blocks and three aces.Jema Galanza added nine points, while Jeanette Panaga and Tots Carlos scored eight points each.On Chery Tiggo's side, Galang finished with 14 points.
