DARAGA, Albay – The tragedy of the Mayon volcano eruption in 1814, that buried the Cagsawa church and its community, has imparted to the people of Albay lessons in preemptive evacuation and the Zero Casualty idea.

Albay 2nd District Rep. Joey Sarte Salceda said this during the opening of the Cagsawa Festival 2025 here early this week.
