MANILA, Philippines — Senate President Chiz Escudero announced Thursday that there would be no impeachment trial while Congress was in recess.
He said the Senate must hold a session before the senators could be sworn in as jurors for the trial, and this session may only occur on June 2, 2025, after the May elections.
