MANILA, Philippines — Newly-appointed Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth) President and Chief Executive Officer Edwin Mercado on Wednesday vowed to expand benefits and accelerate the digitization of processes to cure what he called "ills" that the state health insurer has been facing since the previous administration.
Mercado, who took his oath before President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Tuesday, said his objective was "to expand benefits without deterring or affecting our service delivery."
