THE Philippines is advancing the implementation of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) maritime liability conventions to improve cost recovery and promote sustainable shipping practices.

Maritime Industry Authority (Marina) Administrator Sonia Malaluan highlighted the importance of collaboration in acceding to and implementing relevant IMO instruments on liability and compensation for maritime transport damage. The goal is to improve cost recovery and enhance sustainable shipping.
