The EJ6 was previewed at the 12th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit and the Auto Focus Test Drive Festival last year. It is a fully electric SUV designed for both city driving and off-road use.

Globally, the EJ6 comes in two-wheel and four-wheel drive (4WD) variants. The units that arrived in the Philippines are 4WD models, equipped with dual motors, a 69.77-kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery, and a full-time 4WD drive system. Pricing will be announced later.

Omoda and Jaecoo Motor Philippines Inc. said the EJ6 is their first electric vehicle (EV) in the local market. They believe its off-road capabilities will help it stand out in the growing EV segment. The EJ6 has a six-in-one motor system and 80 kW fast charging, allowing the battery to go from 30 to 80 percent in 30 minutes. Its all-aluminum body reduces weight and helps it reach 100 kph in 6.5 seconds.

Interested buyers can get more information about the EJ6 at Jaecoo dealerships at UN Avenue, Manila; Sta. Rosa, Laguna; Alabang, Muntinlupa and Marcos Highway, Pasig. In Cebu, the SUV can be viewed at the brand's first store in G-Mall.
