MANILA, Philippines — Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu, best known for her lead role in the hit drama "Meteor Garden," has died from flu-related pneumonia. She was 48.

Hsu's younger sister, talk show host Dee Hsu, confirmed the news Monday through her agent.
