THE House of Representatives Committee on Labor and Employment on Thursday approved a P200 daily wage increase for minimum wage earners. All panel members approved the bill, saying that the P200 per day hike was a compromise agreement between various labor groups and House leaders.

The approved bill was the consolidated version of various House bills, including House Bill 00525 (R. Salo), HB 01111 (R. Guico, J. Lara), HB 03308 (J. Tallado), HB 04471 (J. Zubiri), HB 04898 (A. Brosas, F. Castro), and HB 10319 (E. Villanueva), among others.
