A Filipino police officer is among the fatalities in the collision between a US military helicopter and a commercial plane outside Washington DC, the @pnppio confirms on Jan. 31, 2025.

Malabed, chief of the Supply Management Division, was among those on board the American Airlines flight that collided midair with a US Army Black Hawk helicopter near Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C., and crashed into the Potomac River on Jan. 29.
