TACLOBAN boxing pride Aira Villegas made her Olympic debut at the Paris Games last year and didn't waste any time introducing herself to the mainstream consciousness.

Agile, speedy and nifty, Villegas willed herself all the way to the women's 50-kilogram semifinals and eventually claimed a bronze medal.
