VARIOUS cooperatives led by Coop-Natcco party-list held a peaceful demonstration at the Senate on Tuesday as senators prepared to deliberate revisions to the Philippine Cooperative Code of 2028.
The demonstrators were contesting the Department of Finance's proposal to impose taxes on cooperatives' share capital and deposits, as well as their members.
