LAST week, in this space, we noted that the percentage of families that experienced involuntary hunger in 2024 almost matched the figure at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. This was borne by survey data from the Social Weather Stations (SWS), whose fourth-quarter survey was conducted from Dec. 12 to 18, 2024.
