MANILA, Philippines — Three weather systems – the shear line, the easterlies and the northeast monsoon or amihan – will prevail in most parts of the country, bringing scattered rains and thunderstorms, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Monday.

Weather specialist Robert Badrina said the convergence of hot and cold air or shear line has been affecting Eastern Visayas where scattered rains and thunderstorms are likely in the next 24 hours.
