GLOBE Telecom Inc. (Globe) during the weekend said that it had successfully pilot tested the use of 50 gigabit passive optical network (50GPON) technology, which is expected to help enhance connectivity in the country.
The pilot test, held at the Globe Valero Telepark in Makati City, was said to have set a new broadband connectivity benchmark and laid the foundation for the delivery of multi-gigabit speeds to customers.
