THE Department of Finance (DOF) has issued the Joint Administrative Order (JAO) aimed to curb smuggling, misdeclaration and undervalua-tion of imported goods by simplifying customs procedures.
In a statement on Friday, the DOF issued JAO 001-2025 to implement an earlier order — AO 23 or the Digital and Integrated System for Pre-border Technical Verification and Cross-border Electronic Invoicing aimed at protecting Filipino consumers.
