Psychological test not needed to prove mental anguish – SC

A PSYCHOLOGICAL evaluation is not required to prove mental anguish or emotional distress under the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children (VAWC) Act, the Supreme Court ruled.

In a decision penned by Associate Justice Henri Jean Paul Inting, the court's Third Division upheld the conviction of a suspect for psychological violence against his wife and children.
