OVER 800 "sari-sari" (small variety store) and "carinderias" (roadside eateries) in Malabon City would be exempted from business taxes under a new ordinance.
"We hope to at least lessen the burden of the owners of these variety stores and eateries as they would now be spared from paying taxes for their retail businesses," Mayor Jeannie Sandoval said.
