PLASTIC has been easily used by mankind in various fields. Invented in 1907 and once praised as a "gift of God," its reputation plummeted in just a few decades. Flowing from land into the ocean, it has accumulated to form the Great Pacific Garbage Patch (GPGP), spanning 1.6 million square kilometers.
ASEZ WAO, an international volunteer organization, held an environmental forum on Jan. 15 and put up the slogan "STOP Plastic for a GREEN Future."
