MANILA, Philippines — Three weather systems will continue to bring scattered and isolated rains in the country, the state-run weather agency said on Thursday.

Weather forecaster Chenel Dominguez of the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) also said it has not monitored any tropical cyclones entering the Philippine Area of Responsibility in the coming days.

The national weather bureau said the country could expect fair conditions over the next 24 hours except for scattered and isolated rains and thunderstorms.

Dominguez said the convergence of hot and cold air called shear line has been affecting Bicol Region, Quezon, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Aklan, Capiz, and Northern Samar.

The easterlies - winds coming from the east that carry humid and warm weather - would prevail over Soccsksargen (South Cotabato, Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani and General Santos), Davao Region, Eastern Samar, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi.

Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Central Luzon will be experiencing partly cloudy to overcast skies with isolated light rains due to amihan, according to Pagasa's 5 a.m. advisory.

Meanwhile, the rest of the country will likely have isolated downpours or thunderstorms also due to the easterlies, it added.
