MANILA, Philippines — Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) acknowledged the petition from various transport groups seeking to raise the minimum fare for public utility jeepneys to P15 from the current P13.
In a statement issued on Tuesday by LTFRB Chairman Teofilo Guadiz III, the board expressed its understanding of the financial pressures on transport workers while emphasizing the need to balance this with the economic burden on commuters.
