Magnitude 5.5 earthquake rocks Occidental Mindoro

(UPDATE) MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 5.5 earthquake shook the province of Occidental Mindoro early Monday night, state seismologists said.

The tremor took place at 6:42 p.m. 23 kilometers (kms) northeast of Lubang town, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
