WEST ZONE concessionaire Maynilad Water Services Inc. (Maynilad) is confident that 2025 will be a better year due to ongoing expansion projects and continue efforts to address non-revenue water (NRW) issues.

"With the outlook for 2025, it should be a better year as the economy is still growing, and definitely demand for water will still continue as our water availability has significantly improved in the past 24 months," Maynilad President and CEO Ramoncito Fernandez said.

He added that the water supply was expected to be enhanced by a lingering La Niña weather pattern along with prior programs and projects that "have already started to yield a positive impact to our operation."

In addition to new water projects and NRW issues, Fernandez said "we also plan to implement wastewater projects as well."

Asked about the company's listing plans, Fernandez said Maynilad would definitely go public before January 2027 as mandated by its concession agreement with the government.
