TWO-THIRDS of voters in the province of Abra prefer Eustaquio "Takit" Bersamin, brother of Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, to Bangued Vice Mayor Joaquin Bernos as governor in the 2025 elections, according to a survey conducted by market research and public opinion polling company Tangere.

Based on the survey conducted from Jan. 13 to 15, 68 percent of voters in Abra favor Bersamin as their choice for provincial governor in the upcoming 2025 elections. Bernos, on the other hand, trails with just 25-percent voter preference. Meanwhile, 7 percent of respondents remain undecided.
