SEN. Grace Poe stated on Saturday, Jan.18, that the lack of a law should not lead to the loss of jobs for the country's over 60,000 motorcycle riders, adding that the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has the authority to allow these riders to continue their operations.
"The deadline is up to the LTFRB whether they will continue this. They can have an extension pending the passage of the bill. They are the ones who approve it," she said, adding that motorcycles have become an essential means of transportation for millions of Filipinos.
