MANILA, Philippines — The northeast monsoon or "amihan" and the easterlies will affect the country over the next 24 hours, the state-run weather agency said on Sunday.

Weather specialist Grace Castañeda of the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said it has not monitored any tropical cyclones or low pressure areas inside or outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) in the coming days.
