Toyota PH, BYD seen leading vehicle sales

TOYOTA Motor Philippines (TMP) is expected to maintain its market leadership this year backed by banks' aggressive auto lending activities, Maybank Investment Banking Group said on Thursday.

Apart from TMP, a 51 percent-owned unit of GT Capital Holdings Inc., Maybank said BYD cars — distributed in the Philippines by Ayala Corp.'s ACMobility, to gain popularity among local auto buyers.
